Drejtori CVE Meidani pret Këshilltarin e Departamentit të Shtetit të SHBA për programet rajonale të Antiterrorit

Shkurt – Drejtori i Qendrës Kundër Ekstremizmit të Dhunshëm, Denion Meidani, priti në një vizitë zyrtare, Këshilltarin e Departamentit Amerikan të Shtetit për Programet Rajonale të Antiterrorit rezident në Sarajevë, Randy Wilson. Gjatë takimit bilateral në ambientet e Qendrës Kundër Ekstremizmit të Dhunshëm, z. Meidani informoi z. Wilson mbi proceset e punës së institucionit që ai drejton si dhe detyrimet që rrjedhin nga Strategjia Ndërsektoriale e Plani i Veprimit për këtë qëllim.

Gjithashtu, Meidani informoi mbi punën e kryer në proceset e rehabilitimit, ri-integrimit dhe ri-socializimit të shtetasve shqiptar të kthyer nga zonat e konfliktit Siri dhe Irak, mësimet e nxjerra nga këto procese si dhe objektivat strategjike, ku Qendra Kundër Ekstremizmit të Dhunshëm dhe Ministria e Brendshme synon të arrijë në të ardhmen e afërt.

Wilson falënderoi Meidanin, e nëpërmjet tij Ministrinë e Brendshme, për mikpritjen dhe punën e shkëlqyer të bërë deri tani. Ai theksoi faktin se Shqipëria është shembull suksesi në proceset e riatdhesimit, ri-integrimit dhe ri-socializimit të shtetasve shqiptar të kthyer nga zonat e konfliktit Siri e Irak, si dhe luftën kundër terrorizmit.  Z.Wilson siguroi se zyra që drejton, do të vazhdojë të jetë një mbështetës i pakursyer i Qendrës Kundër Ekstremizmit të Dhunshëm dhe Ministrisë së Brendshme në luftën e përbashkët kundër ekstremizmit të dhunshëm dhe terrorizmit.

Gjatë vizitës 3 ditore në Shqipëri, z. Wilson i shoqëruar nga Drejtori i CVE dhe Këshilltari i ICITAP në Departamentin e Drejtësisë të SHBA, William Sage, zhvilluan takime me Drejtorin e Përgjithshën të Burgjeve Admir Abrija, Drejtorin e Shërbimit të Kontrollit të Brendshëm në Burgje, Klevis Qose, Drejtorin e Policisë së Burgjeve Paulin Rajta, Drejtorin e Përgjithshëm të Shërbimit të Provës, Ervin Hoxha, Drejtorin e Antiterrorit në Policinë e Shtetit, Alban Dautaj si dhe drejtues të tjerë të agjencive inteligjente dhe ligjzbatuese në vend.

Në përfundim të vizitës në Tiranë, Wilson i shoqëruar nga Drejtori i QKEDH dhe këshilltari i ICITAP të Departamentit të Drejtësisë të SHBA, Sage zhvilluan një takim përmbyllës me zv.ministren e Brendshme Romina Kuko. Wilson nënvizoi faktin se CVE në Shqipëri është një rast suksesi në trajtimin e proceseve të të rikthyerve si dhe garantoi zv.ministren se zyra që ai drejton do të mbështesë Qendrën Kundër Ekstremizmit të Dhunshëm dhe Ministrinë e Brendshme për rritjen e kapaciteteve në procesin e transformimit të Qendrës në Agjenci Kundër Terrorizmit dhe Ekstremizmit si dhe luftën e përbashkët kundër këtij fenomeni.

ENGLISH – Director of the Center Against Violent Extremism, Denion Meidani, received on an official visit, the Advisor of the US Department of State for Regional Anti-Terrorism Programs resident in Sarajevo, Randy Wilson. During the bilateral meeting in the premises of the Center Against Violent Extremism, Meidani informed Wilson on the work processes of the institution he directs as well as the obligations arising from the Cross-Sectoral Strategy and Action Plan for this purpose.

Also, Meidani informed about the work carried out in the rehabilitation, re-integration and re-socialization processes of Albanian citizens returned from the conflict zones of Syria and Iraq, the lessons learned from these processes as well as the strategic objectives, where the Center Against Violent Extremism and the Ministry of Interior aims to achieve in the near future.

Wilson thanked Meidani, and through him the Ministry of the Interior, for the hospitality and the excellent work done so far. He emphasized the fact that Albania is an example of success in the processes of repatriation, re-integration and re-socialization of Albanian citizens returned from the conflict zones of Syria and Iraq, as well as the fight against terrorism.

Wilson also assured that the office he leads will continue to be an unsparing supporter of the Center Against Violent Extremism and the Home Office in the joint fight against violent extremism and terrorism.

During the 3-day visit to Albania, Wilson accompanied by the Director of CVE and ICITAP Counsel at the US Department of Justice, William Sage, held meetings with the Director General of Prisons Admir Abrija, the Director of the Internal Control Service in Prisons, Klevis Qose, the Director of the Prisons Police Paulin Rajta, the General Director of the Probation Service, Ervin Hoxha, the Director of Anti-Terror in the State Police, Alban Dautaj, as well as other leaders of intelligence and law enforcement agencies in the country.

At the end of the visit to Tirana, Wilson accompanied by the Director of QKEDH and ICITAP advisor of the US Department of Justice, Sage held a closing meeting with the Deputy Minister of Interior Romina Kuko. Wilson underlined the fact that the CVE in Albania is a case of success in dealing with returnee processes, as well as guaranteed the deputy minister that the office he leads will support the Center Against Violent Extremism and the Ministry of the Interior to increase capacities in the process of transforming Center in the Agency Against Terrorism and Extremism as well as the joint fight against this phenomenon.
